Island Walks, With some 22km of walking tracks and many hilltop lookouts there are excellent opportunities to explore and discover the eucalyptus forest, rainforest gullies, mangroves, rugged hills and shorelines of Magnetic Island . All these are well signe posted. All distances and approximate times are one way. Nelly Bay to Arcadia 6km, 2hours. Arcadia to Horseshoe Bay 3km, 1hour. Picnic Bay to West Point 8km, 2.5hrs. Horseshoe Bay Road to Arthur Bay 2km, 30m. Horseshoe Bay Road to The Forts 2km, 1 1/2 hours return. Horseshoe Bay Lagoon 730m. Horseshoe Bay to Balding Bay 3km, 45min. and Radical Bay 3km, 45min. It is a good idea to take drinking water with you on the longer walks and to the uninhabited Bays. Camping is not permitted in the National Park. for more details click here Nature Trails |
